ClassDojo; The Software

The video above is a short guide, outlining how to use the ClassDojo software. ClassDojo (2016) is an American, internet-based software which has been developed as a behaviour management tool, specifically designed to motivate pupils’ learning in the classroom. Within the video, I outline the key features of the program; how to distribute rewards and sanctions, contact with parents, the toolkit features and the additional PSHE activities which are available.

Relating to Skinner’s behaviourist theory (Skinner, 1938), which is discussed on page 4 – The Behaviourist Approach, the interactive system is designed to support and enhance behaviour management as well as promote learning in the classroom. Through my blog, I have analysed the program and assessed its impact on teaching and learning in schools.
